THERE IS NO UNDER EYE CREAM THAT CAN GET RID OF DARK CIRCLES.
Dark under eye circles are normally a hereditary trait that is symptomatic of a capillary leakage of a blood vessel near the area. The only thing any of these creams do is keep the skin on top of the blue toned circle nice and health so the area looks at least a little better. If you use an eye cream and pilling happens, it is because your skin is dry and there is dead skin that must be ex foliated. If you develop the little bumps, called milia DO NOT POP THEM. You could get an infection and lose your eye. The best way to handle dark circles is to first tell your doctor if you have a lot of congestion in the area, as sinus pressure can cause you to retain more dead blue blood in the under eye area. If that is not the case, or you have done that, make sure to drink a lot of water, and when you do use an eye cream at night, give yourself a nice massage about one finger spaced under the eye; this will blend away some of the dead blood. When concealing, make sure not to over conceal, less can definitely be more. Choose a concealer that is exactly like your skin color.

Wow! This has been really great for getting rid of the dark inner corners of my eyes. Definitely works. I appreciate other users listing techniques for using products--like lots of patting with ring finger to get this product on cuz it is thick. Even tho it's been discontinued, try online to find it.

best eye cream i've ever tried although not a miracle product. very very good at reducing puffiness and dark circles. not sure about lines as i don't have those quite yet. make sure you seal the glass jar tightly or else the cream gets less consistent when oxidized over time. too bad this line is discontinued... gonna try arbonne re9 now!

I really liked this eye cream, it definitely worked for me. It did a great job at deminishing my dark circles. My under eye area looked so much more vibrant and alive AND I wasn't dependent on my under eye concealer as much. HOWEVER, ever since Almay revamped their line they've discontinued this great product even though sale people swear to me that it's the same as their Anti-aging Eye Cream just with a different name...it's not! I'm curious to know where recent reviewers have found this product?

I've only been using this for a few days but compared to the other eye cream I was using this is cooling, refreshing and non-greasy. Best of all I can use as mush as I like and I don't experience a burning sensation around my eyes. It also absorbs really well.

I really wanted an eye cream that would lighten the dark circles I have around my eyes. I have really thin skin around my eye area and so any darkness under my eyes is always quite obvious and I always have to put on under eye concealer as my daily makeup regimen. I don't want to do this anymore! So I tried this out (it was about $20 on ebay because it's discontinued) for about 2 weeks or so, the texture is really thick and heavy, and I broke out in little white pimply dots around my eye area! I never break out around my eye area, I'm only prone to breakouts on my T-Zone, and I'm quite positive that this cream was the culprit. Perhaps I got some defective or old cream from ebay but it was newly packaged so it wasn't tampered with. It's too bad, guess I gotta find a new cream.
Oh and also, after I stopped using it, the little pimples went away.

Maybe it's becaause of my age (45) and i'm may be hoping for too much, but this product was lousy for me. No lightening of under eye area, nothing for puffiness and it also "pills" under mu. I'm still looking......

All Almay's kinetin creams and serums(except Kinetin Firming and Pore Refining serum) are not safe, because have many unsafe ingredients.

It is such a shame, because these products actually work and I loved them. But I stopped using them, because I am worried about long term health problems.

i decided to add this to my drugstore.com order since quite a few ppl on the boards seem to like this stuff. it was only $13 so i figured "why not?" i must admit, i really like this for the most part. i have noticed that my undereye area looks much *brighter* but of course i still have my circles. i think it's b/c the skin under my eyes is so thin...? n-e-ways, a warning for u sensitive skin girls such as myself: this does burn a little but goes away. it also takes a little while to sink into the skin unlike my other eye treatment, RoC Retinol Correxion eye cream (the RoC stuff sinks right in nicely). i've been alternating btw. the two treatments for the past 2 and a half weeks b/c i can't decide which i like more-->the RoC isn't as drying and feels nicer on but i think the Almay really is doing all the brightening b/c i started w/ this treatment first . i will definitely buy this again. it doesn't offer any moisture but seems to be making my eye area brighter. continued >>

Very rich and moisturizing, doesn't tug or pull at all. And after 4 weeks my slight dark circles (from allergies) are nearly gone. The only drawback to this cream is that if you overapply, it can settle into little folds in your eye area (the kind that you have when you wake up and your eyes are puffy... not regular fine lines, as I have noticed that with regular use my fine lines are greatly improved). When it settles in like that I have noticed it can flake a bit, but I have not had a problem with this under makeup - and I've tried it with both a yellow stick and a concealer. Both of these things still apply well over the cream, but I notice I don't always have to wear them anymore. All in all, I would say that so far this product worked on about 80% of my fine lines, and diminished my dark circles about 80%. Thats why it gets a 4/5. I'm going to keep with it tho, because I'm glad to have found something that really works.

One of the better eye creams I've tried. (my former favorites were Shiseido Benefiance - to expensive and greasy, and Zia - nice, but nothing special). It hasn't yet reduced undereye circles (I will update once I'm finished with the jar) but I really like the texture. It's rich, creamy, slightly brightening, and soaks in well without leaving a greasy residue. On the cheap side. No milia, just slight stinging (which quickly goes away) when I put it on my eyelids. Probably not for eyelids anyway!
Update 2007: they discontinued this and I was sad. I moved on to other eye creams, currently DHC. No holy grail yet.

After using this product for 3 weeks my undereye circles are about half as dark. I have to be careful applying it as it's a bit goopy and will sting badly if I get it too near my actual eye. I also have to use it at night because my concealer balls up over it. But now I'm using a lot less concealer now so ... =)
It works for me, judging from the reviews it helps some (not all) with dark circles but it's not very expensive so why not give it a try.

I've been using this eye cream for about a month and I really like it. I bought this for it's great list of ingredients. This is a great eye cream for sensitive eyes. My skin will break out to many ingredients, especially the skin under my eyes, but I have had no negative reaction to this. I loooooovvveee the texture. It is thick and feels fabulous. My under eyes feel softer and more moisturized (not greasy at all). As far as results, I read the reviews on MUA prior to purchase, so I didn't expect to see dramatic results right away. Which is good, because I don't. I do think my dark circles have lightened, though not to a dramatic extent. But the way this makes my undereyes feel is just remarkable, so I have a feeling the results will follow. This is great for wearing under makeup. I use this in the AM and in the PM. In the AM I follow with concealer and it just glides right over, no "balling". I think those who have that effect may either be putting the cream on immediatley after application (which you shouldn't do- wait at least 5 min) or their makeup is just not the right formulation for this eye cream. I use MaxFactor Pan-Stick (also great for sensitive skin) with sheseido's corrective concealer and I have no problems. A thick, unscented cream that did not irritate my eye area. I did not notice any reduction in fine lines or any increase in firmness. I do not have dark circles under the eye, so can't vouch for it's use there. Overall, it performed like a basic eye cream for me. I gave it three lippies because it is so hard to find an eye cream that does not burn or irritate my eyes.

I've noticed this product has gotten lots of mixed reviews...personaly I really like it. BUT I don't have dark circles to begin with so I can't say how well it works for that.
I bought it because it was on "sale" and I was looking for a new eye area treatment.
I'm 30 something and I have been a sun goddess for a long time..(bad bad) anyhow this cream seems to firm up my eye area and my skin is much less thin now. It doesn't irritate my eyes or cause sun sensitivity as many products do.
I love little pots so I give the packaging 5 lippies.
check out this link explaining "kinetin" It's not an advertising site just a little information on the ingredents.

I have been using this product 2x day for almost 6 months and my dark circles are just as dark as ever. I think the product moisturizes the lines around my eyes fairly well. But so does Cetaphil lotion, at a fraction of the price. Will not repurchase.
